To have the repeater run on the default values, you need to reset it and delete the customized settings from it. So, perform the reset process using the instructions given below:
- Firstly, make sure that the Wireless-N WiFi repeater is powered on and is receiving a consistent power supply.
- Find the reset button that you can see inside a hole named Reset.
- Push and hold the button by making use of any sharp pointed object.
The repeater will be reset and the current settings customized by you will be erased from it.
It is now ready to be set up with the new router.
Step 2: Connect it to the New Router
Power off the devices i.e. the router and the repeater.
You should now place the repeater near the new router. Make sure the setup of the router is already done. In case you haven’t set it up already, then do that first.
Next, using a LAN cable, join the LAN port on the router to the Internet port on the repeater. Make a solid connection.
Step 3: Follow the Setup Instructions
Now, switch on the router as well as the repeater. Connect your computer or laptop to the repeater’s network using either a WiFi mode or a wireless mode.
Load up a search engine and log in to your repeater’s web interface. You will directly land on the Wireless-N WiFi repeater setup page. Keep on executing the instructions for the repeater setup.
Your repeater is now connected to the new router. It will now repeat the router’s signals and expand its coverage.
You should now move your repeater to a new location where you want to access its WiFi signals. The new location has to be within the router’s network range in case you opt for a wireless mode of connection between them.
