The Latest Fallout 76 News from Quakecon

QuakeCon is now happening, and this means that Bethesda are teasing a ton of news about their games. This includes Fallout 76. So, why not get ready for Fallout 76 ‘The Gleaming Depths’? You might even want to stock up on bottle caps (https://www.u7buy.com/fallout76/fallout76-bottlecaps) to make sure that you’ve got everything that you need to face the challenge head on.

The New Fallout 76 Update

In December 2024 (no exact date yet), Bethesda will be releasing the 22nd content update for Fallout 76. It is said to include a new raid, tons of new enemies (including an epic boss), and a whole new area of content to explore.

As you can probably imagine, Bethesda are pretty silent on the specifics of the update so far. But, we can offer a bit of speculation about what it’ll bring to the table.

The Update Name

The Fallout 76 update will be called The Gleaming Depths. As you can probably guess from the name, much of it will take place underground, possibly in a mine shaft (the actual trailer was rather short).

What Can We Expect from The Gleaming Depths?

A surprising amount! However, as you can imagine, Bethesda have remained pretty tight lipped on the specifics. But, if you’re eager for news, we’ve got some speculation to share with you.

Perhaps the one ‘known’ thing (other than the fact the new area will be underground) is the raid boss. Or, potentially, an event boss. It is a massive cobra, and something that is considerably larger than any of the bosses that have appeared in the game so far. This includes the Scorchbeast Queen that appears in certain nuked areas. Chances are, it’ll take a rather sizeable number of people to take down.

We can also say that there will be a new area for players to explore. As this is a major update for the game, expect there to be a story that goes alongside it. Although, as you might imagine, the story will probably be a bit of a grind. There’ll almost certainly be repeatable events so you can level up your rep, getting more unlockables.

You can also expect there to be a lot of new enemies. The current trailer indicates that the Mole Miners will likely play a major role in this expansion (since we are underground), and they’ve been given a bit of a refresh too. If you thought the mole miners were annoying before, they’ll likely to be more powerful than ever now!

On top of this, you can also enjoy new Fallout 76 weapons, armor, and plenty of items to buy things from the atom store.

So, you might want to stock up on those cheap Fallout 76 atoms, because there is a ton of excitement to come in the latter part of 2024 for the game. This means stocking up on stimpacks, junk to repair your weapons and armor, chems, etc. You might even be able to use some of your caps to pick up some of the latest gear when the update drops.
